I'm passionate about my work and love what i do. Let me bring that passion to your project!
Who am I?My first work of art was strategically placed footprints on a boring white wall at the age of 2. By 8, I had already won my first fine artist award. Since then, I’ve designed professional websites, business cards, web graphics, vehicle & store ad graphics, and more. I found my love in the graphics arts creating custom designs through photo blending and manipulation. I’ve put this skillset to use in helping authors bring their visions to life. In addition to art, I have a fervid love for reading and all things geeky. I spend my time outside of work with my husband Doug, two daughters Arri and Tris, and our two cats Max and Drogo.
Why choose me?I work with authors to bring their literary works to life through covers, interior graphics, layout & formatting, cinematic book trailers, custom world maps, web graphics, and promotional materials. On top of my freelance work in the publishing industry, I also work for the author PR firm Novel Publicity as their art director. Over the years, I have worked with authors like NY Times Best Seller Bella Andre and also with The Tannenbaum Company creating a look book for a fantasy novel turned screenplay.
"I enjoy working with Mallory very much. She is easy to work with, has fast turn around, and the end product is always a fantastic professional graphic piece. I highly recommend Mallory Rock for all of your artistic needs."
"Mallory Rock is a joy to work with. We have done numerous projects together and she's always fast, creative, responsive and the ultimate professional."
"I have worked extensively with Mallory Rock on my cover art, interior art, book trailers, formatting and proofreading. All I can say is I feel blessed to have found her and that she is a special person and talent. I couldn’t recommend her any higher than to say she is superb, honest, cool and a joy to work with."
"Mallory Rock's professionalism, patience and creativity greatly surpassed my expectations. I knew she was an exceptional graphic artist, but her ideas for covers and my logo were concepts I didn't even know I wanted! She has ways of taking the smallest thought or suggestion and turning it into something awesome. I can't recommend her enough for all of your creativity needs. "
"Mallory Rock is AMAZING. When I first started looking for a cover artist, I didn't know what I was doing. I wanted someone who could take my sort-of ideas and turn them into a fantastic cover, and Mallory exceeded my wildest expectations. She's super professional, and can really take a vague idea from me, and come back with a masterpiece. Mallory is the best!"
"When Mallory Rock first came to Evolved Publishing, I had no idea that we would come to rely on her for such a high percentage of our artistic needs. She has now produced over 35 of our book covers, each of them done with precision and professionalism – a great fit for both the story and the genre. She has also produced website banners for many of our authors, advertising graphics, and swag such as bookmarks. On top of that, she has designed and formatted interior files for many of our books, giving them a distinctive look for readers, to include special graphics and even illustrations to help the book pop! She has formed strong and lasting relationships with many of our authors and has been, quite simply, an extraordinary asset for Evolved Publishing. I’m so pleased that she’s part of our team."
"Mallory Rock listened to all of my wacky ideas and created the perfect cover image in record time, all while being pleasant and accommodating. Not only was her art an ideal representation of the first book in my series, it will also serve as an iconic look for the series as a whole. I'm 100% satisfied with her work, the extra images she provided just for fun, and the interactions leading to each amazing reveal. I look forward to working with her for many years."
"Mallory isn't just an amazing artist, but she also understands cover design and branding concepts. She helped me create an iconic template for all my covers that'll make my books stand out in the crowded market. I'm thrilled with her work."
"Mallory Rock is a talented designer who took my ideas and created wonderful bookmarks and magnets for me. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a graphic designer."
"Mallory Rock is my go to girl for graphic design for social media and websites. Mallory is an incredibly talented designer that I am proud to refer clients to for their covers, website design, and social media graphics."
"My first experience with Mallory Rock was when I purchased a pre-made cover for my book HellKat. I get loads of positive feedback from people about how much they like that cover. Then I did a cover redo for my fourth book, Chain of Title, and this one was a custom cover.
Let me just say, I have worked with other cover artists but never one that listened so well to what I wanted. When I received my sample cover from Mallory, I was shocked by how spot on it was. I couldn’t believe that it was that easy. And because it seemed too easy, I asked her to make some changes thinking there must be some way to improve upon it. She graciously made those tweaks, only to have me ask her to UNDO almost all of them! She just did it right the first time.
I’m a fan, and I recommend her every chance I get. From this point forward, Mallory Rock is my go to cover artist. "
"Mallory Rock ranks among the best graphic designers in the business. Her cover design for my Civil War historical fiction novel, Touched with Fire, is the perfect promotional tool, working well for the paperback as well as the thumbnail e-book editions of my story. That Touched with Fire has sold over 10,000 copies and still counting has much to do with the eye appeal of her cover design. I have now published a second novel, and again her outstanding cover design is helping to sell the book. I have more books in the works, and I would not dream of using anyone else to create my covers. You cannot do better than Mallory; the return on investment makes it worth every penny you pay her."
"What I enjoy most about working with Mallory Rock is she brings savvy business acumen to the table in addition to a boatload of talent. I've worked with her on over ten projects, including a complete series rebranding, and she's always quick to point out both helpful suggestions as well as potential pitfalls to any design direction I'm considering. She's truly helped me take my brand to the next level."
"Mallory has a special ability to turn fragmented ideas into art that's visually stunning and also genre appropriate. She's completed five different covers for me in two genres, and I absolutely love each one. Somehow she pulls out the essence of my work and transforms it into eye popping covers that catch readers' attentions. She's also extremely professional. I highly recommend Mallory for any project.."
"Mallory's professionalism, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for my projects not only encouraged me to work with her again, but drove me to tackle the story I've always wanted to tell. I aim to have Mallory design the covers for all 30+ books in my series, and I'm always excited to approach her with new ideas and new projects. She's the only designer I've met who not only works on your covers, but inspires you to write more and always better yourself as an artist and person."
"Mallory Rock designed a beautiful and elegant website header for me. I received many compliments about the banner; the magnificent vistas of mountains, forests, and lake view. Her social media graphics are super attractive and eye catching also. I’m extremely happy and pleased with her skills and artful designs."

Some girls wear makeup to enhance their natural beauty. Some wear it to make themselves look sexy and mature, in the hopes to attract the attention of a paramour. Darcy wears hers as a mask, a deterrent, a tribute of sorts to the musical group who got her through her parents' messy divorce. When she’s uprooted from her hometown in Detroit and plopped down into rural Georgia, the townsfolk don’t know whether she’s an escapee from the circus or a devil worshiping antichrist looking to kill their pets and corrupt their children. Much to her surprise, Darcy finds herself in the middle of a bizarre love triangle; the preppy good-looking popular boy that all parents would love on one side, and the bad boy heartthrob that would have fathers sitting on their porches with shotguns and mothers buying chastity belts on the other. Not surprisingly, Darcy also finds herself the object of cruel jokes, bullying and pies in the face. While she’s trying to stand up for what she believes in and exact revenge on those who treat her and her friends badly, she also has to decide between the two guys vying for her attention. Will one of them really be able to see beyond the makeup and love her for her? Or will she end up just being a pawn in a long standing rivalry between the boys?
